Tips to help you stop waking up looking tired

What’s worse? Feeling tired… Or having someone point out the dark circles under your eyes?

I guess they’re both bad, but don’t worry, below are some quick tips to make your mornings a little brighter.
Now, these are not permanent solutions, but they can work fine for those mornings when you just need a little boost for the day ahead.

If you’re looking for a long-term solution to youthful, vibrant skin, please check out here.

How To Feel Awake In The Morning

After waking… drink a small glass of water with a squeeze of lemon juice.
The lemon juice gives you antioxidants and electrolytes.

When you take a shower… have a cooler shower than normal.
For the really brave, take a cold shower. Though any temperature slightly cooler than normal is fine. Cold showers or cooler showers can increase alertness, improve circulation, ease stress, and much more.

In short, your body won’t expect a blast of cold water is coming…. When the cold water hits your skin… you may find you’re instantly more awake.

If a cold or colder shower is not to your liking, then try something Kate Moss says helps refresh and tighten her skin the morning…

Fill a basin full of cold water, ice, and cucumber… then dunk your head for a few seconds.
A combination of dunking your head in cold cucumber water and dashing up the stairs a few times made a difference.

Because exercise puts color back into tired looking skin.
When I say exercise, choose what level of movement and intensity is best for your circumstances…

Short, quick, easy exercise that gets you slightly out of breath is the goal.
As I say, I tend to dash up and down the stairs a few times until I’m breathing heavy.
This short exercise gets the blood flowing. Takes less than 2 minutes, and and it can be repeated as often as you like.

The next tip I find can be a little tough on occasions… skip the morning coffee.
I know, I know, caffeine gives us a boost. It’s also dehydrates us… and that is super bad for your skin.

Try green tea instead for the morning shot of caffeine. Another use for those green tea bags is helping with puffy eyes. Freeze the bag first, and then apply to the eyes for 10 minutes.
The cold contracts the blood vessels, which shrinks eye bags, helping you look more rested.

If you’ve time in the morning you can try curling your lashes for the wide-eyed effect.
Nothing says I am awake like nice big wide eyes.

There is one more tip, it’s the easiest of the lot, though probably the most underused…

Smile…

A big wide, happy smile not only makes you feel better…
It can make you look healthy and friendly.

These are only tips though, and our focus is best given to getting a full night’s rest.
